Introducing SCREAM, the latest addition to our collection of powerful sound-design instruments for Kontakt. Built on our enhanced PULSE Engine, SCREAM takes rhythmic sound design to a new level, combining an extensive collection of high-quality pulses with unprecedented control over every sound layer.

At the heart of SCREAM is a sophisticated four-layer engine, allowing you to combine, manipulate, and transform different sounds into complex, evolving rhythmic textures. Each layer can be independently controlled, giving you far greater flexibility and creative freedom than ever before.

An Improved PULSE Engine

SCREAM introduces a new generation of our PULSE Engine, featuring an optimized architecture, improved performance, and a host of new features. The updated interface provides a more intuitive workflow, while the enhanced engine offers greater control over the individual elements of your sound.

The powerful XY pad lets you blend and morph between the four layers in real time, creating constantly evolving pulses, intricate rhythmic patterns, and complex soundscapes. You can also record your own XY movements, loop them, and play them in reverse, allowing you to create unique, animated sounds that continuously evolve.

New Per-Layer Sound Controls

One of the most significant additions to SCREAM is the ability to process each of the four layers independently. Every layer now features four dedicated controls:

• PUSH: Adds punch, impact, and saturation to your sounds, bringing pulses forward and making them more aggressive and powerful. Use it to emphasize transients and give your rhythmic patterns greater presence, or push it further to create more extreme and energetic textures.
• BLUR: Adds Kontakt's Choral effect, softening the sound and reducing its definition. It creates a more diffuse, spacious, and dreamy character, transforming sharp, clearly defined pulses into softer, hazier textures. From subtle smoothing to heavily blurred, atmospheric sounds, BLUR offers a new dimension of sound shaping.
• LPF: A low-pass filter that cuts high frequencies, allowing you to create darker, warmer sounds or gradually remove brightness and definition from individual layers.
• HPF: A high-pass filter that cuts low frequencies, making sounds thinner and brighter while removing unwanted low-end energy. Perfect for creating space and shaping the tonal balance of each layer.

Because these controls are available independently on every layer, you can create intricate combinations of punchy, distorted, soft, dark, and bright elements within a single preset. This opens up an entirely new range of sound-design possibilities.

SCREAM includes 252 carefully crafted snapshots, covering an extensive range of powerful pulses, aggressive rhythmic sequences, dark cinematic textures, and evolving soundscapes. Whether you're designing intense sci-fi sequences, unsettling horror atmospheres, dramatic transitions, or complex rhythmic elements, SCREAM gives you a versatile palette of sounds to explore.

The updated engine makes it easy to go beyond the presets, allowing you to reshape and customize every sound to suit your own compositions and sound-design projects.

SCREAM comes with 1.7 GB (850 MB using Kontakt's lossless compression) of high-quality pulse samples, to deliver excellent audio quality while keeping the library compact and efficient.
